Army Combat School
The role of the Army Combat School (MSS) is to create conditions for MSS to perform its assigned tasks effectively both nationally and internationally, in collaboration with other parts of the army. MSS also handles tasks for the entire Armed Forces, such as the development and procurement of soldier-carried equipment, firearms, and support weapons. Your workplace is of international top class when it comes to combat training facilities.
Development Unit
The Development Unit at MSS is responsible for the development of type units, methods, materials, and publications primarily within the army, but also parts of the entire Armed Forces. The unit is focused on methodically supporting the development of the army organization and the capability for ground combat within the Armed Forces. The work is supported by a tactics, publications, and material development process.
The Development Unit is organized with unit management and six departments. These departments are named the Study and Tactics Department, Functions Department, Command and Communication Department, Armored Department, Infantry Department, and Publications Department. The departments have staff stationed in both Skövde and Kvarn (Borensberg).
Publications Department
The Publications Department is tasked with coordinating and supporting both the army's and MSS's internal publication work. This includes planning and monitoring publication production as well as training and support for those who will write the publications and lead the writing process. The task also involves administering the publications throughout their entire lifespan. The Publications Department will also support the concept development of digital educational aids related to the publications.
About the Position
You will support managers and authors regarding administrative routines during the development and maintenance of the publication. The work includes planning and leading smaller projects. You will also assist in administering the army's publications using the Armed Forces' support systems.
You will support the department head and the department with various practical tasks based on the assignments that need to be solved. You should also be able to assist other departments as needed and be able to solve other tasks within the entire MSS operational area if the need arises.
Qualifications
- Approved 3-year high school education
- Experience with the Armed Forces' administrative systems
- Experience with publication work within the Armed Forces
- Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in English
- Good ability to work in the Office suite
- Experience in designing text and images
- Driver's license B, manual transmission
Meritorious
- Experience working in Adobe InDesign
- Experience working in Adobe Photoshop
Personal Qualities
The person we are looking for should have a pronounced sense of order and be stress-resistant with a high ability to work independently. Collaboration skills and a service-oriented attitude with a pedagogical approach are qualities we are looking for. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

- Employment type: Permanent position, the Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period
- Employment rate: Full-time
- Work location: Kvarn (Borensberg)
- Position level: Civilian
- Business trips with overnight stays may occur
- Work rate: Full-time
- Working hours: Daytime 07:30-16:30. Evening and weekend work may occur
- Start date: By agreement
